I have a friend who is a programmer. he used a version of http://apiwiki.twitter.com/... to fetch all the follower information for an account.

Whoops. I actually have her on my list of Twitter politicians I get data for. I just have her under City - Marrickville Council, not State - New South Wales. Will change my label for when I get around to updating this list again. :)

NSW state electorates. Not city electorates. This is a combination of cities.

I don't think politicians are on identi.ca for me to get city information on who their followers.

YouTube by NSW electorates? I don't know how I'd do that as I don't have access to who is viewing those videos. I can probably tell you who is uploading videos on YouTube. I looked at who uploaded some 306 videos on YouTube related to Australian sport. Of those, 54 had city information. That represents 20 unique videos. I'm not going to get enough information about who uploads to get a feeling for by electorate.

I can get you total number of Facebook fans for some of the politicians on a daily basis. I can get the Alexa rankings for their sites. There are just not enough places on Facebook to get a total checkins by electorate. (Though if I had a list of political related events around NSW in response to the election, I could do something like this post. It might actually be interesting that actually.)

The major question I have with something like this is: Are election results predictable based on the total number of followers on Twitter? I could almost try it with: Are election results predictable based on the total number of foursquare checkins to political events by party in each electorate?

I couldn't see Mike Rann (@PremierMikeRann) there and he is a fairly prolific Tweeter. Nice work though, very interesting
